For me personally, I think that the 10 day rule is stupid (no offense Lighty). Even though I've been here only a week, I've made much more posts than even Lighty when the forum was a week old. Anyway, shouldn't it be the amount of posts? I mean, we should make it 25 posts to go into the Journal area. There should be limitations though. Like if a new member does 100 posts in one day (which I doubt) we should put it a 5 day limit. Maybe others aren't complaining about this, but for me, I've already posted more than a normal member would in a span of a week.
