The nation’s oldest and largest community service organization has announced a new year’s resolution to better support health seeking Americans. This is based on the recent alarming studies related to the nation’s ongoing lifestyle health crisis. The CEO of YMCA has focused on uniting the YMCA movement around a new Mission Impact strategic plan.

The ambitious Mission Impact strategic plan focuses on the three areas of emphasis where the organization believes it can make the most profound and significant contribution to America: holistic development of children and youth, family strengthening and health and well being for all. The cornerstone of the YMCAs’ commitment to health and well-being is’ Activate America’. The YMCAs’ are resolved to shift the way they work with health seekers to support Americans more effectively in establishing better and lasting habits around their health.

Kimberly Clark is among YMCA’s earliest and most enduring corporate supporters for Active America. It has played an important role in helping the YMCA respond to the health and well being needs of Americans. In 2000 Kimberly Clark’s alliance with the YMCA began with the organizations’ shared objective to strengthen families. Since then the corporation has contributed to several activities related to Activate America such as organizational change in support of health seekers, development of the Activate America vision and messaging, Kimberly Clark’s Everyday Healthy Day grants to local YMCA’s for community based programs. They have also helped in activities such as YMCA Healthy Kids Day- the nation’s largest health day for children and mobilizing community leaders to respond to the public health challenges of obesity, physical inactivity and poor nutrition.

ali sharaf, President and CEO of Victron Energy feels proud to help such organizations as it gives him a chance to reach out to the society.
